Story
Why Callmate exists
Everyone has a list of calls they keep putting off. The energy company that overcharged you, the dentist you need to move, the five plumbers you should ring for a quote. None of them are hard. All of them take an afternoon, most of it on hold.
So we built the assistant we wanted: one that makes those calls in your voice, waits on hold so you don't, and tells you honestly what got done and what didn't. You can listen in, guide it or take over at any moment, and it always asks before doing anything you haven't allowed.
We charge by the hour, not in mystery credits, and hold time costs half as much. We never sell your data or train on your calls. The goal is simple: fewer calls on your list, and more of your day back.
Milestones
Three years of fewer missed calls
Now
Calls for you, answering, step in, tasks, agents and your own voice on iPhone and Android.
Next
Automatic follow-ups, wake-up calls and reminders that run with the app closed.
Then
Connected accounts: email, calendars, Slack, Dropbox, Jira, Monday and health apps.
Later
Approved purchases on websites, live translation and syncing across iPad, Mac and Windows.
Principles
How we work
01
Sound like you
Callmate should sound like you on a good day: polite, clear and firm when it needs to be.
02
Interrupt only when it matters
You have better things to do. Callmate asks only when it needs a decision, and never invents a result.
03
Earn trust with every call
Clear consent, honest about being an AI, and your calls and voice never train any model.
Team
The people behind every call
Meet the whole team
Co-founder and CEO
Maya Lombardi
She watched good technicians lose jobs to whoever answered the phone first, and answering services that could take a message but never book anything.

Co-founder and CTO
Marco Bianchi
He spent eight years building real-time voice systems, first for a telephony carrier and then for a speech recognition startup.

Head of Customer Success
Carmen Vidal
She spent six years as a dispatcher and office manager for a plumbing company, so she knows exactly what a Monday morning sounds like at a busy front desk.

Head of Design
Ingrid Solberg
She believes a good call summary should be read in five seconds on a phone in a truck, and designs for that moment first.

Speech Research Lead
Paula Herrera
Her team works on turn taking, interruptions, accents and noisy lines, the parts of a phone call that make an AI sound either natural or robotic.

Telephony Engineer
Samuel Ortiz
He runs the carrier network, number porting, call forwarding and the failover that moves calls to a second carrier in under a second.
We are hiring
Remote roles in engineering, speech research, design and customer success. Everyone spends a day a quarter riding along with a customer.
